Bianca Schell
Gynaecologist and obstetrician
Bianca Schell was born in Neckarbischofsheim in 1975 and grew up in the beautiful region of Kraichgau.
As a child, she wanted to become a nurse in order to be allowed to stay up at night. Consequently, she worked as an anaesthetic and intensive care nurse at the GRN hospital, Sinsheim, while simultaneously studying medicine at the University of Heidelberg from 2003 onwards. During her studies, she took a special interest in reproductive medicine and infertility and wanted to work in this area ever since.
When she graduated, she started working in the departments for gynaecology and obstetrics of the Odenwald hospital, Mosbach, and of the GRN hospital, Schwetzingen. She then continued her career back in Heidelberg.
From the end of 2018 to 31 December 2022, she worked with Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. T. Strowitzki in the Department for Gynaecological Endocrinology and Fertility Disorders of the University of Heidelberg. In 2020, she became a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician and a team member of
the fertility clinic of the University Hospital for Women in Heidelberg.
Since 1 January 2023, she is a welcome addition to the team of KWZ Heidelberg and is glad to be able to concentrate fully on supporting couples trying for a baby.
Bianca Schell is living with her husband, two children and a number of budgies in Sinsheim. In her spare time, she likes to read and to run across the Sinsheim forests, or she does some needlework and enjoys time with her family.
